【Heel Lancet Information】

The heel blade safety lancet is used to collect quality blood samples from infants for metabolic screening as well as glucose and other tests. Automatic retraction is designed to avoid needlestick injuries and cross-contamination exposure. The infant lancet produces less bruising and requires less punctures to obtain sufficient volumes of blood.

Step 1: Select the optimal lancing site in the above highlighted part;

Step 2: Remove the safety tab and make the heel stick safety lancet ready for sampling.

Step 3: Put the puncture slot (arrow part) against the heel firmly, press the button and make the penetration done.

Step 4: Collect the blood samples with a capillary tube (or similar device), or allow the blood to drip on the specimen collection card directly.
